07 Camry hybrid remote start problemLadylizz 03-15-2008, 08:47 PM The remote start on my 07 Camry hybrid has not worked since I recieved it, It was installed by the dealer when I brought It at a Toyota dealership. I have taken the car back 5 times and it still don't work at this point I don't want it but they want to put on a new one. Do I have a right to refuse the new one and get my money back? I dont want to go through this over again with another one. I heard sometimes the remote start wont work with the hybrids. Is this correct? Or you have to use it all the time or it wont work? help please, frustrated RIP 03-16-2008, 02:40 PM Can't tell you squat about the system. I would tell them to keep it till it's fixed and demand a like loaner car. Mike Gerber 03-16-2008, 05:40 PM I agree with RIP. If you are not getting satisfaction at your dealership, I suggest calling Toyota corporate at 1-800-331-4331 and talking to customer service about your issue. They will then contact the dealership for you. Over the years I have noticed that dealerships move more quickly when a customer issue comes to them from corporate. It's like a black mark against them until the issue is resolved. Mike Ladylizz 03-17-2008, 08:26 PM Update I called the service director and he said he would look into the situation, I'm waiting his call Thanks for the help, next I'll try Corp. Ladylizz 05-12-2008, 10:21 PM Update to Update I took the car back to the dealership and they ordered a new remote start, put it on the car and now it works, I don't know why it took them so long to figure out the part was bad. But alls well that end well thanks for the help Brian R. 05-12-2008, 11:43 PM Thank you for the update and congratulations on the belated good result. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
