Was there anything else done or was this a simple matter of taking the old sensor off and putting the new one in its place? And I do have to ask... did you remember to plug it in (securely) after you replaced it? superman11167 03-16-2008, 12:25 AM the cps is plugged in an i checked the wires. what could have went wrong in that short of time i really dont know superman11167 03-16-2008, 12:28 AM what do you think i should check out tripletdaddy 03-16-2008, 02:56 AM I think you should have your buddy check out.......checked out..... Assuming all else is fine, I would make some sort of attempt to reset your PCM, as that is what the CPS/CKP is connected to. All I can suggest is to remove the battery cable for awhile to let it clear itself and try starting it later. See if Ford can tell you if there is a way to reset the PCM. Also check all of your fuses, wiring to the PCM. Dunno. I suggest keeping your buddies away from your car and keys. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
