90 interior into an 89

I got an immaculate body on an 89 daytona with a bad interior (mice, someone dumped a gallon of paint in the backseat, etc.) and a rotten 90 with a spotless interior. Can I re-configure the prongs in the main wire harness plug (under dash before firewall) to make the newer dash control the older system?:dunno:
