02 Taurus Dash Lightsrichamer1 03-10-2008, 10:06 PM Gas gauge light is burnt out. I have not dug into it yet. Can anyone tell me the procedure for getting to and replacing the fuel gauge light. Remove the instrument cluster finish panel. Remove the shifter selector cable, if equipped with column shift. Remove the instrument cluster screws. Disconnect the electrical connectors. Remove the instrument cluster. To install, reverse the removal procedure.Section 501-12 Instrument Cluster Finish Panel Removal and Installation Adjust the steering column to the full tilt-down position. Remove the instrument panel center finish panel. Remove the instrument cluster finish panel. If equipped, disconnect the traction control switch electrical connector.
