Whenever I put gas in my 04 cavalier it will not start unless I hold the throttle open and if I should leave it running while I fuel it, it floods (visible black smoke from the exhaust) please help quickly.

Sounds like a problem witht he EVAP system. Any DTC codes? Have a local auto parts do a scan for DTC. (free):)
