67 Mustang shock tower mod info needed.

I saw somewhere, and now I can't find where, there was a "kit" or instructions that showed where to cut back the shock towers for more clearance to valve covers and headers.
I know you can lower the upper A arm 1" to gain some handling, this will also help with the amount I can cut off the shock tower. Anyone know where the needed info can be found?
Thanks.

I haven't seen such a "kit" for a '67. But I have heard of them for the early '70's mavericks. I'm sure they make a similar one for most classics. Have you tried mustangs unlimited?

Why? The FE "big block" was available as a stock engine in '67. What are you trying to do? Usually, where a 390 or 428 "fits", the Lima or "385" (429, 460) engine will fit.

Just curious what you're up to...

The '67-'68 390/428 engine bays and shock towers are different from the 289 powered models. The 390-428 bays are a lot wider and the shock towers are made of heavier stock.
