I have had a 79 VW diesel, 82 diesel, 85 turbo diesel, 92 turbo diesel & finally a 2001 1.9 turbo. As the price of diesel fuel here in Alberta Canada is app. $ 4.87 a gal. One starts to think of alternatives like used cooking oil, bio diesel ect:
I have done much research and realize that it has to be done right or the pump, injectors ect can all go up the well known creek. Certain pumps like the PD don,t hack it. So could any one tell me what yr.VW stopped the mechanical pumps, What TDI yrs. would be most suitable ? 98, 99, 2000, 01,02,03 ? VW dealers are very reluctant to give any imfo on pumps ect. If anyone would be kind enough to pass on some imfo on the subject it would be greatly appreciated . Happy TDI ing
