whats up? not my new baby thats what. bought at scrap metal price got it running, after it sat in a barn for 24 years (yeah!) started right up after some cleaning etc, I could drive it down the road but there is no way to stop it the brake fluid had to have water in it cause the whole system is rotted with rust, the master cylinder is unfrozen but I dont trust drum brakes so... has anyone ever heard of, or seen drums replaced by disc bfrakes?

Welcome

Drum to disc conversions are quite common and entire kits to do so can be found fairly easily, for more popular cars anyway. :(

I'm sure with some searching around one might be found. Or some creative adaption. It seems that Mustang conversion kits almost bolt to anything, seeing the Falcon & Nova desings aren't too far off, might just work.

EZ swap. Use the disk setup from any AMC 1971 and up except pacers or the eagles. 99% of the parts are still available and bolt right on. Some years/models brakes are quite a bit more expencive than the others though. If possible get the Bendex brakes off of a late model concord or spirit 6 or 8 cyl car.

PS, get all of the parts from the spindle on out !
