1980 model trailing arms that connect the rear end to the frame used mostly for raceing has anyone ran solid boxed arms on the street and how did they change the ride any differance in comfort and such thanks for the help

You will notice a harsher ride if you don't run any kind of bushings, i.e. heim joints. The factory rubber bushings are fairly soft to get a good ride with minimal vibration. A good alternative is to run polyurethane bushings in place of the rubber ones. The ride will be firmer, the handling much better, and the rearend will maintain its location under the car more accurately, but you won't beat yourself and the car to pieces if you run it on the street a lot. Make sure to use the special grease that comes with the bushings to avoid squeaking.
