I started my car this morning and when I turned on the heat, nothing happened. None of my air controls work. It worked fine yesterday, but now it does nothing. Any ideas or suggestions????

Thanks

sounds like either a lose wire, or the blower has stopped working....-20? where are you at?

Check the 30 amp blower fuse and 20 amp wiper fuse under the dash.

Thanks for the reply. I'll try looking at those things when I get home.

I live in Minnesota. It was -20 when I left for work this morning!!

I live in Marquette. Mine did that about a month ago when we were -20. I had ice in my switch. I beat on the switch to get it to work but went ahead and replaced it. $10 part.

How do you get them started when it is that cold? Do you have a block heater installed? Or does just keeping it in a garage that allows it to be started at such a cold temperature. I live in NW Arkansas and it never gets even close to that low a temperature here. We only see snow here about once a year.

Actually I have never had a problem starting the car. I do keep mine in a garage though. I've been lucky as I'm still running on my 10 y/o factory battery. Most people up here upgrade the batterys. During the day the car sits in the lake breeze off Lake Superior and sometimes the starter spins in slow motion but it has always started.

I think that there is a blower relay in the fuse box in the engine compartment. usually there are some others like it, so swap another in and see if the blower works, then you'll know if that's the prob.

Is your radiator fan running all the time? I had a simular problem which the cause was the ccu. I had to disassemble it and resolder a connection.

did you ever figure it out?

Yes I figured it out. The wire harness connecting to the blower motor under the dash on the passengers size was loose. I just pushed it in a little and it worked. My problem now is that when I took the radio and climate control insert out of the dash I broke the plastic piece that holds the temperature control nob to the insert. So now I can't get the nob to stay on. So If anyone knows where I could find a replacement I would greatly appreicate any help.

Thank you everyone for your help.

p.s. It is finally warming up. No more 20 below.
