Well I am going to press on with this pet project. Has anyone seen a resin chasis for this one? stryfe101 02-22-2008, 11:28 AM slk I've found not many likes street rods in general over here...I've gotten 2 posts on my 32... your 37 is looking great to me, both motors have some great detail, I like motor 2 better though. so far as a resin chassis goes, I've not seen one, why are you looking for one for this? Gray rsxse240 02-22-2008, 12:26 PM I think they should both go in! lol seriously though being a STREET rod, go with the smaller motor. but if you are building a drag car...well then bigger IS better. I love the 37! I have built the convertable with trailer (left out the trailer) and have the tudor sedan in my to do pile. You might consider snagging the chassis out of that testors '37 with the custom front end, they also had 3 versions the sedan delivery, a coupe, and a vert. The chassis is fantastic on those, but it takes some work, and the rest of the kit is good at best. Don't get discouraged, People are looking at it, but there just isn't that much to see right now. You've already completed the motor, and the unpolished paint looks fantastic! Dylza 02-22-2008, 04:57 PM Little engine? Aren't they both Hemis? I don't think you can classify hemis as "little":grinno: Either way, both engines look awesome but I'd probably go with the second street hemi for the Ford, since it's a street rod and not an 8 second drag monster :icon16: . The paint scheme is awesome by the way, the orange is gorgeous. Ferrari TR 02-22-2008, 06:17 PM I like the second one best. Just use the first in your car and send the second to:... lol i like the orange and black a lot, i was looking at a Mono 40 ford pu just last night and thinking of using those same colors. The 'wagonrod' may have a modern chassis to fit. tigeraid 02-22-2008, 06:42 PM Well, that first motor has a Lenco tranny on the back, which isn't much of a street tranny.... if that helps narrow your decision. Love the paint scheme so far! slk320 02-22-2008, 09:33 PM Hehe ok cool - I will use the second engine - I am going to go through the chasis and try to sort it out - I want a real in-the-weeds stance quadzero 02-27-2008, 04:47 PM I think this is a great project and althou I'm with the second motor for this car, I think both are real gems. Turbokid15 02-27-2008, 06:53 PM Go with the street 426 hemi. Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com! Registration is absolutely free. |
