Swapping over to 5 lug and 4 wheel discs. I have all the stuff to do the swap but I seem to remember something about modifying the ball joints or something? I'm sure I'll have to modify the brake lines which is no big deal.
Has anyone else done this swap before?

Just wondering what I'm in for.

I don't know about modding the ball joints. You may have to use a different ball joint depending on the steering knuckle you use for the front disk though.

Yeah. I'll know more once I tear into it.

I've also swapped it over to a 351 Windsor a few years ago. Best mod I ever did. And just as easy as a 302 with the correct parts!

I'm pretty sure I do. Have to do some snooping around.

Wow those look nice!

I installed a 351W with Edelbrock Performer RPM heads, RPM cam and intake.
Had full length headers but swapped them out for shorty's because of a few problems of having to pull the tranny (C4 w/3500 stall) But I'm really thinking about putting the T-5 in it and once I hatch that I'll install a tremec.

Only thing about swapping trans that bugs me is mine is balanced (engine). But I hear of people still doing this all the time.

My motor was balanced with a flexplate for a C4. I just had to buy a 157 tooth 28oz flywheel, no problems here.

I know that C4's with shift kits are sweet but there is just this thing about a Stang with a manual. :ylsuper:

Ok have a picture. Only thing is, is I believe it's a 302 in the pic.
They both were painted identical. I installed ARP rod bolts in the engine myself and just prior to starting a buddy called and said "You might as well tear that engine down, the rod bolts must be pressed in!"

We built around the same time and he had this problem with his. So I figured if I'm gonna tear it down, I'm putting a 351 in there since I already had one.

But this will give you an idea of what it looks like. And yes all the wires were cleaned up. Just a mess until she was purring like a kitten. Ok maybe a tiger!
