I haven't yet, but I was planning on getting some for taking parts off the trees. It ought to be interesting to see the responses on this one!
good question!

I have a CM set of PE saws. I havent used them much as of yet, but for the small amount of cutting I have done I found them to be quite nice to use.

PE saw sets are a great plus for fine cutting and are a good investment that will last you a long time. Personally I think it is not necessary to use them to remove plastic parts from the tree (side snippers do that just fine) but they are AWESOME for removing clear parts with a clean cut and without having the clear part go "white" at the cut.

IMHO there are no major differences between all the sets available such as CM, Hasegawa, Techstar etc etc. In all probability you will only use a couple of saws on the fret for all your sawing ;)

Theoretically they are also good for deepening panel lines but I haven't had much success with this and prefer my Hasegawa dedicated scriber.

MPWR did a review of the CM set IIRC.

I have the CM and like them. One big reason I like them is you can cut off pieces without removing a lof of material as the blades are very thin.

Sometimes I cut pieces off to paint them and re-attach. I cannot do that without these saws as other saws remove 0.5mm plus of material if that makes sense.

Go give them a try!
