This car does not have a visible heater control valve under the hood. Is the heat controlled by vacuum gate, electric motor gate? radiator, etc ok, temp normal, no hot air from vents. moving control switch on dash makes little differance, blower motor working. have reviewed some answers for different year models. answers?

From what I understand on those, temp is controled by "mix doors" that open and close different plenums under the dash, which are activated by vac or electric "motors".

Thunder is right. No coolant valves have been used for years. There are mechanical doors (or motors in the 2000-01).
