I have a 95 with a 4.3 runs fine when cold but when it warms up the idle gets real rough like a surge its not constent but it cycles bout every 10 seconds and sometimes stallson a surge. also has a rich smell from the exaust. i did a d cap, rotor, plugs, and wires. im not the most knolageable when it comes to cars. im 17 and need to get it runnin so i can start driving to work. any help is appreciated. i can get a scan tool to check values of any possible sensors. just hopeing for a headstart

check vacuum lines esp intake manifold connections and any lines cracked chaffed worn threw replace . a rough idle is usually low vacuum.its a start. if you can get vac gauge measure for 20in of vac and as you look for leaks pinch hoses and see if vac changes....

replaced one vac line already and i think i had about 20in but my gauge doesnt go all the way to 0. so ive pretty much ruled out vac leak

im thinking it could me a map or o2 sensor
