Camaro what?!?
Dudes profile says Canada. I don't know about you, but I couldn't afford two cars when I started driving. My camaro gets stuck on wet grass, I'd hate to be just starting out trying to drive it in snow. I would vote for maybe a 2nd gen eclipse. Its splattered with mopar parts, gets decent mileage, and with all the other ricers racing there are plenty of aftermarket parts. He could still drive it in the snow (sorry Blackcrow, JoeShmoe, etc) and not be hurting if a storm came. I wish I had my 98 GS back..:shakehead

i don't think those 3 go together

we need more info. What are you using it for? How much are you planning to drive? How much are you planning to spend? 4-dr or 2-dr? Does gas mileage concern you? etc

Getting stuck on wet grass might be a bit of a stretch, but some more info is helpful. Biggest being how much are you looking to spend up front, mods later down the road, etc. Im guessing its going to be a DD, why the preference for chevy/dodge? If you are trying to go cheap, its better to not confine yourself to 1 or 2 brands...

Yeah, a Mopar or Chevy product would be horrible for racing. He should get a mid Nineties Corolla and throw a fart can on it, shouldn't he?

Get an LT1 'Maro. Its cheap, its reliable, its gonna be fast enough to get you in some trouble, but in its stock form, not to fast to dead you, unless you are an idiot.

Getting stuck on wet grass might be a bit of a stretch.. Exaggeration?, yes. Point is - snow and a camaro don't mix well, throw in a new driver and nothing good will happen. IMO

Takumi drove in the snow.

I used to drive my BMW in the snow and ice all the time, hell, its when I took it drifting. And I'm not exactly an learned wise man here, lol.

My friend has an LS1 camaro and it is aweful in the snow, to the point where it is almost undriveable. He picked up an '88 accord for a winter beater, so I would say if you can get another car for winter or get a ride when it snows, then an LT1 would be a good choice

I don't know why anyone is worried. After all, global warming is accelerating at a crazy rate. Do you in the next two months, according to the Global Warming people, the average low will be two point five billion degrees with 9 kazillion percent humidity?

Bugatti Veyron is AWD, so it should be good in snow.

I think we are all forgetting the invinsible W-body with the bullittproof 3.8 that can come supercharged from the factory. Its FWD and handles great in the snow and ice.

Plus you can get it in 2 or 4 doors and the aftermarket performance is crazy.... Plus they are a dime a dozen and you can pick them up fairly cheap...

Plus if you get one thats supercharged you can never loose a street race..

S/C W-Body FTW!!!

I once saw a sport bike pull on a 2JZ-GTE Supra. Chuck Norris round house kicked the rider to death in order to restore the balance.

chevy or dodge kinda limits you to about anything you can put a small block in plus i think 3 body styles. take your pick.
