Hey everyone,

Plans are underway for the 2008 UMG. It will be happening May 16-18 in sunny Wisconsin Dells, WI. This will be the ninth year for this big event. I've got the web page up at: http://umg.mn3s.org I've also talk to Baker's Sunset Bay Resort. They are ready to take your reservations. One different thing this year, is you'll need to reserve a two night minimum at the hotel. We'll be getting 20% off there "B" rates. Its makes the cheapest rooms a little more expensive than last year, but some of the bigger rooms and cottages, should be slightly less.

The sign up page for the UMG is at: http://mn3s.org/lists/?p=subscribe&id=6 Please sign up if you are coming. I have a couple of new fields on the sign up page. There is an optional address field and cell phone number field. Fill in the address field if you like to get future reminders about the UMG. Fill in the cell phone field if you'd like to get a text message reminder about this year's UMG a few weeks before the event. Just remember, those two fields are optional.

Thanks,
Curt

Hey everyone,

Things are coming along well for the UMG. We have 44 sign ups so far. Keep them coming. If you haven't signed up and are planning on coming, sign up here:
http://mn3s.org/lists/?p=subscribe&id=6

Then make sure to get your hotel reservation soon. Also, if you'd like to add the UMG banner to your signature on the message boards out there, add this:
{url=http://umg.mn3s.org]{img]http://www.mn3s.org/umg08-sig.jpg[/img]

Replace the two "{" with "[" and it will work in your signature. Having the banner in your signature is one of the best and easiest ways to advertise the UMG.

Thanks,
Curt

Hey everyone,

Plans are coming along good for the UMG. I just updated the sign up list. We have 50 people signed up so far. The current list is at: http://www.mn3s.org/upper-midwest-list.html

Take a look at the list and if you don't see your friends listed on there, its time to start harassing them about it. We are less than eight weeks away from the UMG now. Lets make this the biggest and best one yet!

Hey everyone,

I got an e-mail from Baker's today. Looks like we have 20 rooms reserved at the hotel so far. That is great! We have about 10 more rooms set aside for our group. So don't wait too long before making your reservations. Start thinking about the UMG!!

I also just checked the sign up list. We are up to 57 now. W00t!

Hey everyone,

I've updated the sign up list: http://www.mn3s.org/upper-midwest-list.html We now have 67 signed up. Keep it coming!

I haven't checked with the hotel lately, but I'm sure the room selection is getting pretty lean. So make your reservations now. Less than four weeks away from the UMG.

Hey everyone,

I've got a hotel update. We have 35 rooms reserved at Baker's Sunset Bay Resort. They still have a few rooms left, but they are going fast. So make your reservation now, if you haven't already.

I just updated the sign up list. We've got 71 people signed up. In the next week or so, I'll be finalizing the schedule. So stay tuned for that. And if your 3/S buddies are not signed up, get on there case about it. ;)

A few updates. We are up to 76 sign ups now. Current list is at:
http://www.mn3s.org/upper-midwest-list.html

I also made a new map with all the locations we have events at and a couple of car wash places. Its linked on the main UMG page, or go to here:
http://www.mn3s.org/wisconsin-dells.html

You should print this map and the schedule before you leave for the Dells next week. And if you are still thinking about going, just go. You can still sign up, and there are still some of the bigger rooms available at the hotel. The UMG only happens once a year. Get your butt out to Wisconsin Dells and have a fun weekend.

Hey everyone,

I'm leaving for Wisconsin Dells tomorrow, so this will be my last shout out about the UMG.

Here are a few reminders about things to bring:

1) Bring an FRS radio if you have one. We'll be using them on the rural cruise and other stuff.

2) Bring sunscreen if you burn easily.

3) Bring a lawn chair or two for the Saturday night cookout.

4) Print off the schedule: http://www.mn3s.org/schedule.html

5) Print off the map: http://www.mn3s.org/wisconsin-dells.html

6) Don't forget your car cleaning supplies.

I'm still hoping to have around 50 3/Ses there. Its gonna be a blast! Come join us.

Hey everyone,

Thanks to those who came out to the UMG. We ended up with 50 3/Ses and 56 owners. We had to deal with the road outside of the hotel being gravel all weekend and a little rain on Saturday. But it was still a ton of fun. I don't have my pictures up yet, but there is a picture thread on 3SI at:
http://www.3si.org/forum/f60/upper-midwest-gathering-2008-pics-420062/

Thanks,
Curt
