got a 96 c1500 305 has no fire so i think is the control module. went to put it on where they usually go ( I have a 92 k1500 also ) under the cap and rotor and on this 96 it has a cam position sensor. i think thats what they called it at autozone. anyway its not the ignition module. So where is it??? thanks for any help guys.

My '98 C/K manual shows the Module and coil are located on the pass side towards the rear of the intake manifold.

got thru troubleshooting steps get meter and narrow down part that failed. sudden spark death is usually cam/crank position sensor or VCM wiring as it is called in your vehicle. if this was running poorly and then no spark it could be anything in distributor circuit.
