I have a 2001 JGC limited 4.0 V6 2wd 108,000

it shifts great out of 1st and 2nd and 3rd but shifting into 4th it vibrates a little (very little) and feels like it pushes into the 5th at 50mph everytime ...when in last gear it vibrates while holding steady but when you let off the pedal vibrating dissapears. also in last gear it seems to have no power(fast acceleration) . maybe cause im used to a V8.

i know nothing really about jeeps other than i hear jeeps have bad trannys..

but i dont believe it ..

it also vibrates a little more than i think it should while ideling ... not sure that could be a whole diff thing ... probably spark plugs... but i could be part of the problem ..

could i have something clogging the airflow ...???

any help would be awesome the jeeps in great condition so im hopeing its nothing big. bought it from my sister so no off road no towing.

Your jeep doesn't have a 5th gear so that last shift you feel is probably the torque converter locking up.An ignition miss is a possibility due to the increased load when the converter locks but if that were the case you should have a check engine light on.You might have a bad torque converter.

Chances are you have a plug wire breaking down. It is not giving enough spark required for the amount of fuel going into the cylinder. You could run an ohm test on each wire or if you have over 70,000 miles on any of the wires, I would suggest to replace all of them. If they haven't been replaced, you will notice a significant change in the performance after they are replaced. Good luck.
