1999 camry, factory remote lock and security system is disabled. The ecurity system went into alarm (horn blaring) and auto stopped. While in alarm I pressed the bottons on the remote several time, unlocked the car and tried to start it (ignition starter dead). The alarm stopped on ite own. Now the remote does not work to lock or unlock the car. The door auto lock works when staring the car. The lights on the security panel on the dash board are off. Any assistance offered is appriciated.

I received two remote locks when I purchased the car and have lost one. I have access to a 2004 Camry remote. It is a differwent shape and FCC number than my original. Can the 2004 remote be programmed to operate my 1999 ans still use the current remote? Thanks to any all who choose to respond. Tom
