93 GC 4l 167K mi: Cranks but no start.CoachKarl 01-26-2008, 08:45 PM Hello everyone, I'm re-thinking my prior adventure with my ignition switch. It had acted up, where when the key was thrown, it didn't turn the starter. I pulled it off, blew it out and reinstalled it. I'm thinking now this, my latest symptom (Cranking with no start) may be caused by a faulty ignition switch. Q. Has anyone had a crank/no-start situation caused by a faulty ignition switch? I accidently double posted that last time. So I used the edit feature to change the contents of this (the second) of the two identical posts. I wonder, can I delete a post? If so I cannot figure out how. Karl CoachKarl 01-27-2008, 05:25 PM I'm in for a break. Here's the latest. I swapped out the CPS, that didn't fix it. The CPS for the manual trans has 1 "wing" and 1 11 mm nut. The CPS for the automatic has 2 "wings" and 2 11 mm nuts. I pulled the ignition switch back off, and blew it out with 80 psi, (Tapped on the bench, blew, threw the key, blew, tapped the bench, blew etc. And re-assembled.\ Same thing. Car will crank but will not start. I'll keep you posted. CoachKarl 01-29-2008, 12:50 AM My problem was caused by a faulty coil. I found the answer to my problem on this post. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=345679 vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
