Rebuilt 4L60Eplopez72 01-24-2008, 07:00 PM I just recently rebuilt my 1999 Suburban Transmission. Put it back on and it hardly moves in drive and won't move in reverse or 1 and 2. When I rev the engine in reverse or hold the rpm's at about 2500 the motor wants to die out and then it keeps running. Here are the parts that were replaced. Any advice or experience appreciated Bannner Kit, Forward Sprag, Band, Pump Body, Brass Washer, Neutral Switch, 4th Gear Hub, Stator Bushings Both, Seperator Plate Repair Kit, EPC or PWM Shift Solenoid, Bushings. Blue Bowtie 01-26-2008, 01:14 AM Could you rotate the assembly when it was installed in the case? There is some friction, but it should move. Did you measure the clutch stack heights when you assembled them? There is only about 0.040" tolerance. Tight clutches, leaking main shaft seals, a weak pump, forward sprag installed incorrectly, reverse sprag assembled backward, and a pump relief valve failure can cause those. A line pressure test can help reveal some problems. If pressure is low, the pump pressure relief might have blown out of the bore if the retaining clip was not secure.
