UGH!!!!:disappoin Blue)(Fusion 01-24-2008, 04:30 PM Could it possibly be coolant getting into the cylinders/oil? Check the coolant level to see if any is "missing." marc-o-matic 01-24-2008, 05:51 PM Most likley blown head gasket trackertrouble 01-24-2008, 06:33 PM coolant level is ok ...... as for the possibility of blown head gasket, as suggested by marc-o-matic, wouldn't that cause some overheating? it's actually running cold??? I'm sooooo confused. Anyway, thank you both for your ideas!!! trackertrouble:) marc-o-matic 01-24-2008, 06:57 PM coolant level is ok ...... as for the possibility of blown head gasket, as suggested by marc-o-matic, wouldn't that cause some overheating? it's actually running cold??? I'm sooooo confused. Anyway, thank you both for your ideas!!! trackertrouble:) Yes and no if the coolant is low or there is an air pocket the guage can't read properly.(it's a coolant temp. sensor not air temp. sensor) The reason I mentioned that is the combination of a missfire and milky oil. Oil turns milky when mixed wilt water/coolant. You might want to remove and inscect spark plugs, start w/#3 (any sign of water/coolant). Also the smoke, what color is it,or is it steam/vapor? trackertrouble 01-25-2008, 07:43 PM the color smoke is mostly blue/white .....always more smoke when stepping on gas pedal. Sometimes, but not always the smell of rotten eggs is present, and sometimes when stepping on gas I get a moment of hesitation......defintely smoke though, not vapor or steam.....lots of smoke on acceleration..... YUCK!!! Thank you for your input. Blue)(Fusion 01-25-2008, 08:06 PM The milky white substance in the oil you mention is definitely coolant that is getting into the cyilnders. that is usually the cause of the smoke, too. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
