[Before starting the conversation, I would like to notify those of you who get offended by threads like this, that this is just an opinion thread so don't get your panties in a bunch and say that this is a useless thread]

This question has been asked a couple of times, but now we have new members and some of our wish-kits (that's what we'll call tehm ;) ) have been made ( example: Mitsubishi eclipse). So now I ask you veterans and newbies, and everyone in between, ... which 5 kits do you wish were made???

1.Lotus Elise
2.STOCK eclipse gsx
3.Acura CL type-S
4.BMW 330i HP sport
5.Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V

Oh yeah, they should all be made by Tamiya ;)

I AM OFFENDED !!!! hehehe, j/k

I like your list and would like to add the new Mercedes line. I mean all model lines. They are fine cars and would make excellent models. I would like to find one for my car E55 AMG but i haven't had any luck anywhere.

I think the new Grand cherokee would also look awesome in 1/24.

If anyone of you guys know where i can get either of those two above mentioned models please let me know.

Thanks

Hyundai Accent WRC
Skoda Octavia WRC
Peugeot 206 WRC 2003 - all new mold please
Audi TT DTM

A better kit of the Citroen Xsara WRC would be nice too

Yeah, some of the newer JGTC cars would be very nice. I would like to see an updated Tom's Supra and at least one of the new Skylines. That way we could get aftermarket decals and make the rest.

New rally cars would be awsome, and not just the usual Impreza/Peutgeot/Lancer (except for the newest versions of those...of course), but produce the rest of them.

I would like Tamiya to start doing engines in kits again and mabye surprise with an American car...1967 Shelby GT500, a Roadrunner, heck mabye even a 1969 Mustang Grande` (that way I could build a model of the first car I ever owned).

FreeLancer
02-22-2003, 02:47 AM
agreed... kits without engines just aren't right :( Some of those new JGTC cars are pretty crazy decal-wise though....

Also wouldn't mind seeing a Focus RS kit. It probably isn't too hard to convert from one of the rally kits but that would be a waste! BTW anyone heard anything new on that Focus Performance Blue limited edition kit?

Gosh, there are so many, so if I limit this to be just exotic cars, that would be...

Porsche Carrera GT (most likely tamiya)
Mercedes Benz SLR (most likely tamiya)
Pagani Zonda (diecast is due, but...)
Lamborghini Murcielago (diecast is available, but...)

flyonthewall
02-22-2003, 04:44 AM
Of course there are many, many cars i'd love to see done but these are what spring to mind right now, in no particular order.

New Honda NSX
2002 JGTC NSX Takata/Mugen
JGTC Re Amemiya RX7
JGTC Skyline V6
Mazda RX8
Nissan GT-R Concept
JGTC GT300 MR-S in all liveries
Skyline Coupe/G35
S15 Silvia convertible - forget the proper name now!
All JGTC GT300 Silvias
Delorean DMC12 to the same level of detail as the Enzo in 1/24 and 1/12:D Made by Tamiya... Man that would be my holy grail:D

Low volume production. Studio 27, Modeler's, B-club, volk, all those guys are "garage kit" makers. As in they started making these kits in their garage (sometimes literally). As such they usually produce a batch and seldom if ever re-issue that model once the initial run is done. Typically they are made from Resin, PE, and other materials but seldom injection molded plastic.
