I have a 1997 Z-28 the problem that I am having is when I connect my scanner it reads no communication with the vechicle. It always worked before, it works with my 2002 Silverado. I just wondered if the vechicle's OBD 2 connector was the trouble ? The pins and the wires going to the connector look good. Thanks Steve

Do you have the key on when you're doing it?

I found out last night the reason why my scanner wasn't communicating with my vechicle was because there wasn't any 12 volt power on pin 16 on the obd 2 connector. The reason why is because the 25 amp fuse called cigar/assy was blown. I wouldn't have thought that fuse would send power to pin 16 but it does. Steve
