Changing the upper radiator hose

I was wonder what is involved in changing an upper radiator hose? I'm assuming that is what the hose is called (it's the hose that goes from the top of the radiator to the engine)

Is it as simple as pulling off the old hose and fitting the new one? Do I need to drain the coolant? Thanks

If you need new coolant tha would be a good time, but you can drain enough so as not to get wet when you tale hose off. and yess if clamps look goo just remove put new one on top off coolent check for leaks and go.

and don't overtighten the clamp at the radiator, that is what stresses the 'plastic' and causes a crack to develop in the top of the radiator.
