Gas Pedal Sticking

I have a 2000 Mercury Villager, the gas pedal has started sticking at times. Any ideas? Thanks

What do you mean by sticking? Do you mean sticking when you first touch it, or sticking open when you let off of it?

More than likely the throttle body needs to be cleaned. Take the intake air duct off at the throttle body, spray some carb cleaner on a rag and clean the entire inside of the throttle body and throttle plate(butterfly). Don't spray the carb cleaner directly inside the throttle body as inevitably some of it will drip down past where you can wipe it away and it has been known to cause catalytic converter problems when you first start it aftrewards and the carb cleaner burns.
