My transmission died last year on my 96 LSi 1.3L AT. When the tax man comes I'm getting ready to drop a nused transmission in. So my question is, will other year models fit my 96?
I am looking for something that pretty much fits straight in, I am not looking to make a lot of modifications.
Any advice will help, and thanks in advance!

I think any auto will fit, but may have different gear ratios. '95 - '01 four cylinder should all be the same. All '01 Metros were four cylinder automatics so they should be plentiful in the junkyard.

If you search Ebay, you can find a nice deal on a JDM tranny and you'll get something with a warranty.
