lpg conversion luminapegasus77 01-11-2008, 07:11 AM Hi everyone, I am searching for a kit to convert my lumina from petrol to lpg gas (meaning that it is possible to change from lpg to petrol and the other way round at the push of a button). Does anyone know of any kits or producers of kits for lpg conversion, or has anybody here ever converted their lumina to lpg already? I am asking because here in Europe petrol prices are going through the roof!!:frown: (converting from euros per liter to dollars per gallon that is about 7,63 Dollars per Gallon:banghead:) Any help at all is greatly appreciated!!!!!! Thank you in advance. Z15 01-11-2008, 09:57 AM Check with LPG distributor, I would think they would know all about it. They do here in the states because they convert all the vehicles to it. pegasus77 01-12-2008, 04:49 PM Hi, thank you very much for your advice, but unlike in the United States, the lpg distributors here in Europe are not too helpful when it comes to lpg conversion in a chevrolet lumina. :disappoin The reason for this is quite simple: the chevrolet lumina has never been sold in Europe and so nobody here knows anything about it. :uhoh: Therefore the only advice from lpg distributors is that they could "try to adapt" some existing kit, which would take approximately a week and would cost at least some 4500 dollars (which would be a lot more than the car is worth). :crying: Does anyone have any ideas or knows of any kits for conversion to lpg? At work now we have a Hyster forktruck with a GM 4.3 L that runs on propane, also have Chrysler 318 V8 and small Ford 4 cylnders that run on propane. Mabey you can do some research and see if their is and industrial version of the engine in your Lumina, that might be a start. Another place to look is generators, I know they make generator engines that are duel fuel and can be switched over to run on different fuels. jeffcoslacker 01-20-2008, 10:21 AM I saw a couple of UK conversion makers that have a setup for the 3.4 in the Impala...that's as close as I got... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
