the abs light is on in my wifes malibu and the right front wheel bearing needs to be replaced asap. could the bearing be causing the light to come on? (there both 1 unit).

yes, the hub(bearing) houses the sensor. if it is loose, or even just failing, it can damage sensor. if light is still on after road test, the pigtail might need to be replaced. seen this on some malibus. let us know how it goes!
