Question for you experts out there.. I am not sure what is going on with my car but especially in cold mornings if I stop at at light my car wants to die but it comes right back up to normal.. It only happens when Its cold and once its warmed up or the day is warm it does not happen..

First off , what engine and is your check engine light on?
My first guesses are intake vaccum leak, or possibly an Idle air control valve. Both should give you a code of either rich/lean mix or oxygen sensor. These cars are known for these problems. Do you get a foghorn like sound from the engine compartment?

My cars engine is as follows... 1998 Ford Contour 2.5 L DOHC.. V6 Manual Transmission.. No the check engine soon light is not on at all.. The only thing I notice is that the RMP needle sometimes drop down almost to 0... If I step on the gas then it does not die.. Of course if I do not step on the gas it doesn't die all the way also.. What is a foghorn noise? Sorry I am very naive to some of this things...
