I have an '86 toyota pickup that ran fine, until one night i was out wheelin and everytime i started it up i would have less power, like the battery was dying. then it just wouldnt start. I couldn't jump start it, push start it nothing!

I towed it home and there was no blown fuses and my battery was far from dead. so i swapped the engine with one from my '85 4runner (i was gonna get around to it anyway), charged my battery full, switched the altenators, and switched the starters but still nothing. absolutely no power :banghead: . any sugestions for me to try next?

have you tired the solinoid.

when you put the key in the ignition and try to crank it. the ignition supplies power from the batt. to the solinoid and it supplies power to the starter. if the solinoid is bad the starter wont turn over the engine.

now if you get absolutly no power " lights, radio, ect." then try replacing the ignition switch.

hope this helps
