Fuel pump wont come on/car wont startno_gms_wth_me 01-06-2008, 02:24 PM I have a 1994 Escort with the 1.9L motor. For 3 weeks it has been on and off broke and repaired. I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, the main computer, ignition module (thing by the battery/fuse box under the hood in the engine bay), crank sensor, and fuel pump relay. I got it back from my mechanic yesterday and it was cranking fine, all day. This morning after sitting all night it only turns over. I cannot hear the fuel pump running when I turn on the key. I have tried to bypass the cut-off switch in the trunk (which was not tripped fwiw) and still have no fuel pressure. Any help will be GREATLY appreciated. This is my only ride to work:banghead: Davescort97 01-06-2008, 03:05 PM Check some fuses. 30 A Fuel injector fuse-engine compartment 10 A St Sign fuse-engine compartment 10 A Room-Passenger compartment 15 A Engine-Passenger compartment If you just had it worked on it may be a good idea to take it back if you can get it running. no_gms_wth_me 01-06-2008, 04:04 PM Check some fuses. 30 A Fuel injector fuse-engine compartment 10 A St Sign fuse-engine compartment 10 A Room-Passenger compartment 15 A Engine-Passenger compartment If you just had it worked on it may be a good idea to take it back if you can get it running. I checked all of those (except the St Sign fuse, where is it uner the hood??) and they were good. I took the engine fuse out to check it, and when i put it back in (i had the car on as well) i heard something click or turn on under the dash and afterwards it crunk up. I dont know what I did or you had me do but THANK YOU! Pulling the fuse and replacing it must have reset one of those relays. Well. We did something right. no_gms_wth_me 01-08-2008, 11:58 AM *sigh* Well all was well yesterday, I kept going out and cranking the car off and on throughout the day (because previously it wouldnt start after sitting overnight) and it was fine. But i let it sit overnight last night, and this morning *of course* it wont crank. Same thing, turning over, but no fuel pump coming on. Anythig else anyone might think of? :shakehead :banghead: no_gms_wth_me 01-08-2008, 01:29 PM Well, played witht he 15a engine fuse again and its running. Has to be a loose connection on the fuse panel. if anything comes up again, I'll bump this, lol. Thanks again guys vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
