Another shameless plug:D

Just arrived today, silver and black twill weave CF as used on the 350z. Approx A6 size, enough to cover a couple of hoods and plenty left over for adding small detail. Price is £3.50 per sheet, 3 sheets for £9. Will go up on site later today.

Chris,

The decals look good:)
Do you plan on having them in a darker grey, or any other colors for that matter?

They are a bit darker than that, pics don't do them justice really. Other types may come later in the year but i'll see how these do first. Had been thinking of doing those custom CF colours too, blue, red, yellow etc - what do u guy's think about that?

The Kevlar will be a seperate item altogether, i had originally ordered some along with these but decided to first see how these get on instead.

What i meant was something like this

OK.....I see:rolleyes:

In that case, black......then I will have something that is actually dark enough to use on the rally cars.....the other manufacturers all make the grey too light for my liking when you use it on rally cars.

Good job Chris, it's nice to see somebody paying attention to what the modellers want/need :)

It is black Ray:D Trust me, it looks alot lighter in the pics. What i do, if it is too light, is brush or spray on some Tamiya Smoke. It looks great and u can vary the amount u apply for differnt shades.

Hmmm....never thought of using Tamiya Smoke over it....good idea....
Have you seen the Renaissance C/F decals, they are a real dark grey - that is what I had in mind....
BTW....when I said black, I mean the real dark C/F that looks almost black because the fibre weave is so dark.

Great Chris,

How does it apply? Is it quite thin? I have major probs when putting on Renaissance's CF decal.

Can't wait to try some.:D

It works well, handles setting solutions ok, its not very very thin so its quite durable. The hood of the 350z i built is covered in it, so conforms to irregular surfaces with no real troble, helped by some microsol of course!

Only thing I'd suggest, if you can swing it, is to take a super-close-up of the decal detail on the Z. Maybe juxtapose it with the headlight to give a size reference.

These two give some idea, but yeah it would be nice to have a high quality pic for comparison.
