Brake Problems

89' 4.2L
putting a lift kit on and it requires you to move the front stock brake lines and add a 2" extension bracket. (not a longer brake line, just moving the flexible hose 2" down.) anyways, i unbolted the metal line and it snapped in half. i cant seem to find out what size brake line is used. any ideas? i dont know if its 3/16,1/4, or 5/16. i know that the bolt size for the line is 5/16. is that wat size the brake line is? thanks
