Usually either a dirty / stuck IAC (idle air control), sits on your throttle body, or, a major vacuum leak. Maybe a hose feel off somewhere. Check ALL vacuum lines, listen for air sucking if possible. The IAC is easy to clean, just unhook the battery, remove the valve(2 screws) unplug the connector, remove it and carefully clean it being careful not to push too much on the spring assy. (pintle) using carb cleaner / injection cleaner. Clean the area it sits in too. The car will have to re learn idle so let it run a while when first starting up. There is a way to do this a little quicker but I forget the exact procedure so letting the car run for a while will handle that OK. Pretty much as got to be one of the two problems I mentioned, you could have a bad IAC as well. Letting too much air in.
