In my 95 lumina the selector switch to go from floor to vent to def. is not working:shakehead Thankfully it's stuck on the def/vent with the winter being here:smile: Is the door that switches the air flow done with a vacuum switch?the selector on the dash feels kinda funky also, moves smoothly but doesn't feel like it ''clicks'' when turning it:confused: Any Ideas?

I have the same problem right now, but thats one i can live with also. Please let me know if you do figure it out though.

Your vents default to defrost by design- when NO vacuum is available to move them to other positions-- so most likely you have a vacuum leak from your engine compartment-- noted problem area is where black plastic vacuum line runs beside car battery down to the vacuum reservoir tank-- battery gases make the plastic line brittle and it breaks--- it can be spliced with rubber hose--

You don't have to be thankful it is in defrost-- that default design is mandated for safety- so as not to fog up.....
