1971 charger 500 2000 cavy z24 5 speedtchavez71 12-31-2007, 12:52 AM i figured i would ask cavy guys about this one, cause i know what any mopar buff would say. i have botha a 2000 cavy and 71 charger 500 the cavy is a daily that i want to have look nice maybe even boosted and the charger is in pieces in my garage which should i work on first or should i do anything to the cavy at all. (i do have a cold air a, short throw and sound system in the cavy but i was thinking major investments) please help my friends are giving me mixed reactions. millrtime 12-31-2007, 04:12 PM i would keep the cavy the way it is. save up and find either a junkyard hemi or get a crate engine and rebuild the charger. but i have always been a fan of american muscle. to each his own, but the rewards will be better saving the money and modding the charger. Schister66 12-31-2007, 07:26 PM IMO, if you want a fast daily driver, you picked the wrong car. I'm not going to go around bashing Cavaliers, but i dont see them as a big "performer." Yeah keep the cavy stock and just use it to get from point a to b, it's not the best base model for modding. spudracer73 01-06-2008, 12:20 AM because your cav is you daily driver i say to sink the money into the charger because dude think of it something happened to the cav you loose out and the charger would in the long run give ya more if you want to sell it, plus there are not a lot of chargers around but their are a shit load of cavy's so be different and sink all the money you have into the charger! lol 03cavPA 01-06-2008, 12:31 PM Keep the cavy stock and reliable enough to drive on a daily basis. A stock cavy that starts and runs every time you need it beats walking any day. Save that money to build the Charger. The Charger will be a LOT more fun to drive than the cavy if you're looking for performance. I remember the Charger when it was brand new. With a good motor, they're a blast. If your friends are so hopped up to build the cavy, let THEM pay for it. :evillol: I agree with millrtime. I like the old American iron. Dr.Mambo666 01-08-2008, 05:39 AM no contest i love my cavy but id have to say the charger i suped up my old 89 camaro and love the roar of the engine when it started up and the pic up was amazing. i would love to more chargers around, and im sure ull be thanking yourself later is u pick the charger if u ever hit a drag strip and during shows :).Makes me miss my camaro just thinking of the horses it was putting out :( vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
