Does any one have a solution for the wheel bearings in the hubs?
Can the wheel bearings be replaced?
I have heard the the forester bearings are poor and that the Legacy bearings are better.
This could be part of the reason for the gas mileage to be poor compared to what we know Subaru's can do. I have been a Subaru ower for 22 years. This is the first Forester that I have had, I never buy my Subaru's new, but the wheel bearings are really bothering me.

my dad's forester 1999 just had one of the front bearings replaced along with a new hub and seals. It costs about $300 for new parts from subaru and labor is ? depending on who does it.
