The rims will be replaced with staggered black steelies. http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q24/nitroblood99/P1020106.jpg Closeup http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q24/nitroblood99/P1020107.jpg I`m using the chassis from the Trumpeter 1966 Nova because it doesn`t have all of the molded in stuff, and the wheelbase lines up. http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q24/nitroblood99/P1020109.jpg Wired Aluminum Hemi With Holley dominator. Let`s just say it makes 900 HP :sunglasse http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q24/nitroblood99/P1020110.jpg Paint is Model Master Mopar Sublime Green, a factory Mopar color. http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q24/nitroblood99/P1020115.jpg With Clear http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q24/nitroblood99/P1020116.jpg Start of tubs. http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q24/nitroblood99/P1020119.jpg End result. It looks messy, but it still needs lots of sanding when it dries, and paint of course. http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q24/nitroblood99/P1020120.jpg Tubs in Place. http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q24/nitroblood99/P1020122.jpg Two Tire options. First are Mickey Thompsons. Don`t worry, the back rims will get a deep dish. Which do you think. 1.MTs http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q24/nitroblood99/P1020124.jpg 2. Pro Mod Slicks http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q24/nitroblood99/P1020127.jpg This is the lip I will probably use, with the black rims above in place of the ugly chrome rims. http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q24/nitroblood99/P1020126.jpg quadzero 12-30-2007, 03:39 AM I like that green for sure and great idea using the chassis from the Nova. nitronut 12-30-2007, 05:01 PM that sick nice build cant wait to see more of it :iceslolan :iceslolan tjjr07 01-01-2008, 03:51 AM Thats Going To Be Awesome Looking Barracuda, I Love Green And Pro Street Is My Prefered Choice And Style Of Building... I prefer the slicks, I think the shape looks a little better. robrex 01-01-2008, 05:29 PM I like it! Personally I'd keep the wheels entirely black. It makes it looks really tough! Dylza 01-01-2008, 07:02 PM Thanks for the comments guys. Yeah I will probably keep the rims all black, I think it will go well with the matt black hood, which I need to repaint, because I botched it. Updates soon! Dylza 01-01-2008, 10:48 PM Ok, I got some putty on the floor pan now, just need to wait for it to dry so I can sand it, then the chassis is ready for paint. The hemi has been repainted, and the transmission is glued on. Puttied up floor pan http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q24/nitroblood99/P1020154.jpg Chassis. Not much was done here, just filled some holes and finished building the tubs http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q24/nitroblood99/P1020155.jpg Hemi http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q24/nitroblood99/P1020156.jpg The hood, it needs another coat of paint. Body has two coats of clear. http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q24/nitroblood99/P1020159.jpg Thanks DjNightWolf 01-02-2008, 02:09 PM keep it going,i love drag cars! well,i suggest you the pro mod slicks, more apropriate, because the owner is a kind of freaky who drive all days? :D Dylza 01-02-2008, 02:28 PM Yeah, I think I will stick with the slicks. They just look so much better under the wheel wells then the M/Ts. Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com! Registration is absolutely free. |
