1996 Lumina IssuesBlown97 12-29-2007, 02:41 PM Im trying to help a buddy fix his lumina. Latley a problem started where the car wouldnt start and actually left him stranded. I addressed the problem but not sure if this would be factory replacement or what. But I dont even know what the part is called. If you turn the key on you hear the bell but when you turn it to start it dies, no power whatsoever. But if you get out under the hood and move the terminal around a few times it will start. Is there a fix for this? I tried to turn the bolt off but it wont move I think it's a bad wire but can see someone tried in the past to take it off and broke some of the plastic. Whats this thing called? Thanks Attached a picture: http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p287/NightEagle1981/Fixit.jpg cf1 12-29-2007, 04:19 PM Im trying to help a buddy fix his lumina. AdymeBlack 01-15-2008, 02:15 AM bad connection or bad battery, possibly alternator Tinman238 01-15-2008, 04:35 PM What are all the black wires with yellow connectors? They do not look like factory plugs. Is there an aftermarket system of some type (security, remote start, radio, etc.) that somone has installed? (maybe not a proper installation). The type of connectors that they look like are not water/weatherproof. Might be a problem there depending on what these go to.
