96 trans fit 99 caravan

Does anyone know if a trans from a 96 caranvan w/ 3.0 will fit 99 caravan w/3.0. I will be dropping the 99 out on Christmas:banghead: and found a 96 that has low miles. I think the body is the same and the motor are both 3.0 Mitsubishis. Any help is much apreciated.
