Parting ways...Classicrocjunkie 12-24-2007, 12:54 AM Big chunk of progression.... The goal was to bring it out the top of the engine bay, but that didn't work out like i wanted pulling the motor all by myself. I didn't want to bug people around x-mas time due to how heck tick everything is.... http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/269/20071224image0003ph0.jpg http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/269/20071224image0003ph0.jpg http://img520.imageshack.us/img520/4859/20071224image0005lj0.jpg Everything unhooked and ready to be removed.... http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/4332/20071224image0006mv8.jpg http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/3918/20071224image0007tz9.jpg http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/3534/20071224image0008qu2.jpg I didn't take any pics with it in the air because i was doing this myself and even after dicking around for an hr trying to get the chain right to make the motor sit parallel to the ground my engine bay was like 1/2" too narrow to get the friggen thing out. I could have removed the crankshaft bolt and it would have came out, but instead i removed the lower radiator support dropped it to the ground into the nice puddle of tranny fluid that came out. Made for a nice lubricant for the board to slide on over my tarp.... CIAO BITCH!!........Soo long 2200 http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/3534/20071224image0008qu2.jpg http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/7499/20071224image0010uf5.jpg http://img520.imageshack.us/img520/2983/20071224image0011vt0.jpg http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/5772/20071224image0012cb9.jpg Ecotec heart transplant is near.... :p yhandor 12-24-2007, 02:17 AM nice :) jakegday 12-24-2007, 05:36 PM very nice Classicrocjunkie 12-24-2007, 10:02 PM Now comes the hard part of sand blasting the shit out of all the metal and refinishing everything.... jerseycavyz24 12-25-2007, 01:02 PM Looks good Cody! Just when i was 16 and went car shopping my parents insisted i buy this one because of insurance and the deal we got. Almost 6 years later i'm making the car the way i feel GM should have when they came out. yhandor 02-08-2008, 06:09 PM Good I got my sunfire back today, does it ever feel good to drive a standard :) Classicrocjunkie 02-09-2008, 01:40 AM Niiice. Lefix 02-19-2008, 03:48 AM ABS, Cruise, ? Oh i dont know, i just simply bought it from snowman and he threw it in with the pistons he sold to me.. that i never used and im never going to use them.. Classicrocjunkie 02-19-2008, 12:52 PM yea, i need a pcm that isn't programmed for ABS or i'll get a fault light. I'm not wanting to deal with that shit. I have enough on my plate right now just getting this damn car back together. I've still got more tearing apart to do. I'd rather build a car, than buy one. ZenithZ24 02-20-2008, 11:51 PM trouble maybe, but how many pre-99 cars do you know were once a 2.2L OHV automatic, and have been turned around into a Supercharged 2.2L DOHC Ecotec 5 speed. I'd rather build a car, than buy one. I'd rather build one too, unfortunately I haven't the resources. Good luck with the build I'm sure its gonna be crazy, but well worth it. The way I'm thinking right now, I'm planning on supercharging my Ecotec sometime next year unless something major happens between then and now. yhandor 02-21-2008, 02:37 AM I want an Ecotec swap :( Lefix 02-22-2008, 04:57 AM Hmm, well i dont know about the PCM, but if you ever wanna try it out later let me know.. $50 + Shipping.. :P Do you need HPTuners? Im selling my turbo and i wanna new CAR, lol.. These Lc-1's were brand newly made because i had to wait a week for them to be shipped out. Also, i've never heard soo many problems happening with them. Recalibrating them a few times yes, but not going bad. Derk_eliso 02-23-2008, 05:24 AM Wow after all that... it gets sold again!... :( lol.... Meh I'm trying to sell my car.... I dont want to but It just doesn't work where I live, with the added attention my car gets plus the lack of ease getting a child into and out of the backseat in a 2dr... I might have to part ways with her /cry ZenithZ24 02-23-2008, 09:08 AM And I too am selling my car. Though the 2003 Cavalier LS Sport I got eases the pain. :grinyes: And I'm sure if you picked yourself up a 4-door 03+ LS Sport you'd be fine too. yhandor 02-23-2008, 12:27 PM Oh Felix. All that work, all that anticipation, and you take the turbo all off to sell it? WHY! You wanted that so much and bought the kit in pieces and worked your ass off...............its a nice sunfire and you want a new car? Put your turbo back on! Classicrocjunkie 02-23-2008, 01:16 PM Good luck selling once boosted cars. Nice thing about the S/c... its comes right from GM, and they can't deny working on a car if one comes into the dealer for service. I tell ya, i can't wait till i dolly this bitch into the dealer, tell them its a 1999, with a 2000+ front end conversion, and hand them a vin from a 2004 car for the re-flash. Pretty much going to stare at me like a retard. ....they did when i told them i wanted fenders for a 2000 toyota cavalier. "Shaddup and just order these 2 parts #'s, when they come i'm i'll show you the difference. " yhandor 02-23-2008, 03:31 PM what is the difference between the fenders? Pics? Classicrocjunkie 02-23-2008, 06:26 PM Stock fenders.. http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/1206/dscf00935cw.jpg toyos. http://img237.imageshack.us/img237/8679/newfenders42iu.jpg http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/4861/newfenders5xa.jpg 235/40/18's... THAT TUCK! Derk_eliso 02-23-2008, 06:49 PM Cody can I make love to your car?... just once. it'll be okay lol yhandor 02-23-2008, 06:57 PM They flare out a tiny bit more then stock and have those dumb amber side markers lol. I don't think its worth hundreds of dollars for that :P ZenithZ24 02-23-2008, 11:17 PM Yeah, I think I actually perfer the regular fenders to the Toyota Cavalier fenders. That's me though. Lefix 02-24-2008, 03:05 PM Wow after all that... it gets sold again!... :( lol.... Meh I'm trying to sell my car.... I dont want to but It just doesn't work where I live, with the added attention my car gets plus the lack of ease getting a child into and out of the backseat in a 2dr... I might have to part ways with her /cry Derk, if your turbo didnt leak and smoke so much oil i wouldnt take it out and sell it.. And im gonna put the AEM intake back on and now i have a dual 3" exhaust and im gonna leave that, and im gonna get a pacesetter header Classicrocjunkie 02-24-2008, 10:14 PM 1) Thats not my car Derk. Mines a white 4 door. 2) The fenders are 1/2" wider and do have the hole for the marker light 3) Saab has a smoked clear marker lamp which is also what i have and looks soo much better than that yellow shit. Derk_eliso 02-24-2008, 10:59 PM oh thought that was your project car.... my bad, lol.... well still, i'll make love to it, regardless of whose it is lol vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
