2k3 6speed maxima VS. 2k3 6 speed Acura 3.2CL Type S

which one would win?

i vorted for the maxima even though i like the looks of the acura better but i just love that 3.5L v6:)

i'm gonna vote for the acura. those things are fast as hell. my uncle has a 02 6 speed cl-s, and was really surprised at how quick these things are. felt faster than the maxima i test drove. but not as comfortaable.

my friend has an 01 cl type s and it's not all that much faster than my 4th gen(95-99) maxima. his isn't 6 speed though, it's that shift-tronic nonsense. all that extra power don't help much when the car is 3400 lbs

a CL type S would rape a auto 3.5 liter max. because nissan auto's sucks. but anyways, if its a 6 speed, i would think the max would have the edge. but the CL is pretty quick though becuase my mom has a TL type S and i beat on it some times and i must say its a pretty quick car.

I am going to have to say the CL b/c my mom has one and it's quick as sin!

i have to admit this isn't turning out the way i thought it would.

why do you say that? in real-world situations, this is more than likely a driver's race. these two cars are very comparable in just about any way you look at it, besides the fact that one's a coupe and the other is a sedan. i've personally never seen a 03 maxima 6 speed and a 03 cl-s 6 speed race, which i think would be an interesting race. but having driven both, the acura feels faster.

do you think there'd be a big difference if the Acura was auto?

My friend has a 01 type s with the Shift-tronic and it really doesn't impress me that much. but i have yet to step foot in a new max.

absolutely. the maxima would have no problems with the cl-s if the acura was auto. . you gotta remember that automatic transmissions rob more hp by the time it gets to the wheels, as opposed to your typical manual trans. not to mention most automatics, including those sportshifts, aren't programmed to shift at the optimal shift point. also, most automatics are 4 speed while most manuals will give you at least one more gear.

i'm not impressed with those sport shift transmissions either.

i tried to tell him to wait til the '02 6 speed came out, but he was a little anxious to get his new car

Id go with the Maxima. I think the Maxima would be faster.:flash:

I also dont like the interior of the Acura. I like the front of the Acura,
but the rest of it is plain.:D

i like the interior in my friends car. the trim around the dash and window controls is like a gray marble-smoke color. definitely classy.

It would be close VERY CLOSE, but I say the Maxima by a hair.

regardless of who'd win, it'd be one hell of a race to see (or participate in)
