Unexpected QuestionTwist 10-11-2001, 09:46 PM Bet you guys aren't expecting this!! does the Lancer Evo have power windows and cruise control? MUHAHAHA!!!!!! xencloud 10-12-2001, 04:12 AM probably not! No cruise control on a manual transmission! No power windows for weight purposes! Twist 10-12-2001, 07:58 AM excellent. the way a true sportsmonster should be. thanks xencloud! lancerz 10-12-2001, 09:59 AM why would u want cruise control on a rally car? are you going to cruise @ 45mph? Power windows come on most GSR Specs. RS and RS2 specs have no power windows due to weight and the simple fact that a 2nd level replica rally car doesnt need Power windows. :) Twist 10-12-2001, 05:18 PM I wasn't talking about a Rally Lancer. Having Cruise Control and Power windows would be pretty stupid. Just like having a speaker system in one of them. I was talking about the one you could get at a Mitsu dealership. GSR, RS etc... production cars violinandy 10-13-2001, 12:43 AM they come with available power windows i think. No cruise control though. LanCeRzEvO 10-13-2001, 02:12 AM Well but in america.. The Lancer EVO VII needs to be having a great interior to have sales.. like the Mazda Rx-8 and the Nissan 350Z there interiors are pretty nice.. its not the power people really buy its the luxury and accessories. lancerz 10-13-2001, 03:02 AM what i meant by rally car was; The Evo VI is a Street version rally car isnt it? of course the Real Rally cars wont have power windows and cruise control  BLUE AND BLACK 10-14-2001, 12:27 PM The RS2 is allmost the same as the GSR. The only differences beeing: NO recaro seats NO ABS NO AYC NO Climate control But you do get: Power steering Power windows Airconditioning Titanium Alloy turbo And for us LHD boys a gearing that allows a top speed of 250 km/h Nico van Steen gang$tarr 10-14-2001, 06:37 PM nobody would pay that much for a car that doesn't have power windows (in the U.S.) except for hard core enthusiasts.... rusty old shit boxes have power windows, so i'm sure a new Evo would have them. Twist 10-14-2001, 09:02 PM I prefer manual window. I know I'm weird, but they're lighter and you don't have to turn on the car to roll down the windows. *shrugs* to each his own I guess. gang$tarr 10-14-2001, 09:25 PM Originally posted by Twist I prefer manual window. I do admit they can be a hassle. I just like to know that if I've left the windows down and it starts raining I can roll 'em fast w/o the keys. I definitely don't like power windows that go either all the way up or all the way down. That bugs me. gang$tarr 10-14-2001, 09:34 PM Originally posted by Twist I definitely don't like power windows that go either all the way up or all the way down. That bugs me. no cars only go all the way down... there's a different button one to go all the way down and the other one you can adjust to whatever height the thing i hate most with windows are cars that in the backseat the window stops half way down and doesn't go any further! :angryfire Twist 10-14-2001, 09:42 PM Originally posted by gang$tarr no cars only go all the way down... there's a different button one to go all the way down and the other one you can adjust to whatever height ahh. never even sat in a car that has that option. the thing i hate most with windows are cars that in the backseat the window stops half way down and doesn't go any further! :angryfire Yes. that does infuriate me too. WOOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!! 200 posts! 200 posts! 1/10 of Gang$tarrs! Chris 10-14-2001, 09:43 PM Thats just the door design, there isn't room for the glass. In the US, a 'base' evo would have power windows and cruise control, but the hard core models would not have them. Jay! 10-14-2001, 09:47 PM Originally posted by xencloud No cruise control on a manual transmission! I'm sure you meant that the Evo doesn't have cruise control and it also happens to have a manual tranny, as opposed to it can't have cruise control because it has a manual tranny. xencloud 10-15-2001, 02:25 AM I've just never seen a car with a manual transmission have cruise control, I didn't even think it was possible................. Jay! 10-15-2001, 02:27 AM Originally posted by xencloud I've just never seen a car with a manual transmission have cruise control, I didn't even think it was possible................. My car has both. Think about it: If your cruising at a constant speed, there's no need to change gears. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
