Think about how we fight wars, we dont waste time with "trench fighting" and havent since the last world war - why? Because its alot easier to spend money to go drop million dollar missles right where you want them to go. Look at how many US soldiers die compared to enemy soldiers - we would wipe out the entire world and still have no need for a draft.

And no, what I am saying is if you signup to try and "stop" the war, guess whos numbers will "magically" get called upon when we have a real draft? Yes... yours, and everyone Rangel has convinced this was the best way to stop the war.

The best way to STOP the war is to simply impeach Bush. Didnt say it was practical, but hes looking for a fight that his father couldnt win - hes gun-ho about this and he doesnt care what anyone thinks hes going to war with Iraq.

Look im sure you are scared about the draft, its understandable. But believe me, we have plenty of military service men and women out there. The only way we would need a war would be on a 3-4 front war, and as of right now we are only looking at N. Korea and Iraq, thats two. Untill we start poking our noses where they dont belong to get numbers 3 + 4, dont even worry about it.

Like I said, it would take alot more then a fight with Iraq and even North Korea at the same time to require a draft... its not likely to happen.

Yeah it ain't gonna happen. It'll take an entire year to train anyone who is drafted and by then they expect the "war" with Iraq to be far over with. I say don't worry about something that may happen.

from whats being said it seems he wants to propose the draft to steer bush away from his lets kill everybody attitude...only one guy agrees with him.
rumsfeld says they will not reimplement the draft because there are so many people in the A.F. .
