95 civic dash trim removalsc0rch 02-07-2003, 04:09 AM alright i'm redoing my interior in blue and i've gotten almost everything done except the dash pannels.....the set that has the 2 vents in it and surrounds the guages and the one that surrounds the radio and heater controlls and all that crap.....and i cant for the life of me figure out how the hell to get them off....anyone here know? maxspeedhonda 02-07-2003, 05:55 PM The one with the vents around the gauges has two screws through the top of it. Unscrew those and yank it out of the clips. sparq 02-08-2003, 12:42 AM Originally posted by maxspeedhonda The one with the vents around the gauges has two screws through the top of it. Where your Hazardlight/clock is there will also be another screw, miss this one and yup you just broke your dash. I forget which one its behind, I think its the hazard light though... pop em out and you will find it. Then start on the left side, give her a tug, and keep moving to the right. If theres much resistance go slow - maybe theres another screw you forgot. maxspeedhonda 02-08-2003, 09:52 AM Yeah because anyone in their right mind is going to tug on clock wire, that goes without saying. The clock unplugs and slides out. Should I have also told him to turn the screws left to loosen them as well. So anyways if you see wires dont pull them out, obviously someone here has before... not to mention I have the same exact car and I have removed that thing about 10 times and the whole interior as well. sparq 02-08-2003, 10:51 AM No it doesnt go without saying. You tell people to tug, they tug... which can result in them snapping their dash. Its not a big deal as it can hopefully be superglued back in and no one will know otherwise... but you never know. Dont think people aer smart, if he was - he wouldnt be asking how to take the dash apart :flash: maxspeedhonda 02-08-2003, 06:26 PM True I never thought of that. It takes less time to sit and figure it out than to get on AF and start a thread about it. Oh well, better stock up on the super glue... sparq 02-08-2003, 06:31 PM Exactly, its not like its rocket science. He will learn soon enough though... hopefully. Then in a few months he will wonder why he spent all that time painting his interior "hot pink" because it seemed like a cool idea at the time :finger: :flash: sc0rch 02-09-2003, 06:10 PM ok so now i'm an idiot? no i was making sure there wasnt more to it.cause in my old car the vent tubes were actually connected by a type of hose clamp to the back of the vent and i tore one of um so i was just taking precautions so the same thing didnt happen.....oh and it's blue thank you very much and i'm not even painting that part just the vents.... relientokay 02-10-2003, 04:46 PM i think he was joking about the hot pink. :flash: :finger: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
