Ok, so my Mom and I are cruising on the freeway today back from a business meeting with some randoms... which isnt important obviously!

So we're on the freeway and I notice in the passenger side mirror (Mom was driving) that I see what look looks like a Viper wayy back there. So I turn around in my seat and look out the back of the car and sure enough there was a Silver Viper GTS ACR bookin it down the freeway.. in close pursuit was a Silver Porche GT2.. and bringing up the tale was Black BMW M5.

I estimate the Vipers speed near 140mph... He was eatin up the GT2... M5 was there... not much competition but was still boogie'n along not too far behind. Now I know they can hell of a lot faster, but considering the traffic conditions.. the crappy freeway they happened to be on... I say they were going as fast as they could travel 'safely' haha.

Coolest thing I've seen in a loonngg time.


When they passed us... more like flew by.. they had to slow slightly to compensate for traffic and the curve of the freeway and I was able to see in nice letters on the side of the Viper ACR.. and the GT2 badge was fairly visible on the Porche.

Very Begining of the 710 North in Long Beach, CA...

Basically they were traveling at a very high rate of speed away from the Port of Long Beach... not sure what some high dollar cars were doin in the slums of Long Beach haha maybe thats why there were going so fast??


Very sweet to watch though! Suprisingly though all the cars were quiet as heck. Just kinda zoomed past... then vanished.

Very cool. I saw something similar about 2 years ago on the S57 near Raging Waters. It was a 360 Modena going ~130 chased by a GT2. I think the GT2 was being slowed down by its Lakers flags in its windows. :p

damn...nice race. :D i wish i'd see that up here...best thing i've seen was a vette vs a lil crotch rocket. that was years ago, an i was a youngin in the back seat of my dad's car. shoooot...sweet story.

For some reason, people always underestimate the viper, i mean how hard is it to understand 450hp/500ftlbs NA. And not to mention simple I/H/E mods will boost him about 100 more horsies.
