If you're in the U.S., all cars come with limiters. So yeah, it has one too.

yes certain year gts's had rev limiters lower cuz people kept blowing engines up. Those year celicas are almost a sec slower on the quater mile. I presume that is the case with yours. Many celica owners compained about this.
My recomandation is get a chip that should alter or completelly remove the limiter.

I found out that the highest MPH i can go on my 00 GTS 6 speed is 145 MPH.
