VW calls back 850.000 carsYves 02-05-2003, 03:11 AM "In the coming weeks VW will be calling back 850.000 cars: the 2001 and 2002 models of VW, Audi, Skoda and Seat seem to have a problem with the ignition. It won't start after a night (or day) of cold weather. Especially the 1.8T engines or the V5, V6 and W8 engines seem to have problems." (source: belgian newspaper) Ouch, I'm glad mine always starts (offcourse I would gladly trade it for a 1.8T :D ) Deakins 02-05-2003, 02:31 PM Finally :D GTi-VR6_A3 02-09-2003, 02:57 AM DAYUM what happened there??? ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ -GTi-VR6_A3 GreatOne01 02-11-2003, 12:58 PM I guess it was spam... :o Why do you say finally deak? flylwsi 02-11-2003, 01:47 PM he said finally b/c he's prolly heard of the problem... or had that problem... why else? Next to the window regulators, it's the one recall the should have done a long time ago. GreatOne01 02-12-2003, 10:02 AM Did these cars come to NA, or just the euro versions? BTW: SEAT is part of VW? Yves 02-12-2003, 10:24 AM Yep, they are all part of the Volkswagen group. Dunno for NA, euro versions for sure. flylwsi 02-12-2003, 12:39 PM yeah, the vag family is pretty big, has about 10 or so companies in it... Deakins 02-12-2003, 01:20 PM Eight brands, but over fifteen companies. And yes, the recall goes for NA vehicles too. GreatOne01 02-13-2003, 12:43 AM Does it include the beetle? and the tdi? Deakins 02-13-2003, 04:35 AM Yes and No. GreatOne01 02-13-2003, 09:31 AM Well that clears up our beetle. :p vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
